ADDSHEET is a common parameter that can be used for both FORMS and REPORTS. This parameter defines if the document should be generated with a new sheet for each object value defined. If an object is defined as a value in the ADDSHEET parameter, then a new sheet will be created for each object value.
In connection with the ADDSHEET parameter, a <Global filter> parameter should be defined in PARAM. The ADDSHEET parameter states which object new sheets will be created for (e.g. object CUSTGROUP). Then, CUSTGROUP needs to be defined as a parameter in col A in PARAM (a global filter) and the object values defined in col C are those for which new sheets will be created.
- If a parameter value is defined for the ADDSHEET parameter in PARAM (like CUSTGROUP), then the ADDSHEET parameter also needs to be added in column A in the template. The reason for this is that in the row for ADDSHEET in the template, each object value and description will be inserted when the each worksheet is generated. For more information, see ADDSHEET in Column A.
- The ADDSHEET parameter automatically uses the object values saved in Bizview to generate the break values. If no object values are saved in Bizview, then the ADDSHEET_PROC parameter needs to be defined in order to generate break values.
Access ADDSHEET from the Template Design right panel by selecting Parameters > Worksheets > ADDSHEET Object.
Parameter value = an OBJECT ID. For example, CCOUNT, ITEM, or any other object/dimension in defined data views in the template. A new worksheet will be generated for each selected value for this defined object.
Selecting the first button to the right of the text box displays a list of available objects. Selecting the second bottom displays a list of formulas towards pane control tags if you would like to condition the Addsheet Object parameter. Either you can select a value from the list (you can also filter the list by typing in the text box), or you can enter your own value or formula directly in the text box.
