Import Client Data

Once you export the template Excel file with data using the 'Create import template/export client data' function and edit the data in excel, you are now ready to upload the data back into Bizview.

Caution: Do not change the format of the template file. For example, the number of columns and the columns themselves should be exactly the same as when the file was exported. The file should also be a .xls file, not a .xlsx file.

Access this function by selecting Client administration > Client Options > Import client data.

Click the select file button (browse button) and select the Excel file you want to upload.

Then, select Load data. This will upload the file to the Bizview server, validate the data, and prepare the data to be saved; however, the data will not be saved to the database.

If the validation of data reveals that some data is in the incorrect format, or not related to other data in correct way, you may receive an error report explaining the error. If this happens, correct the data in the Excel file and try to upload again.

To update Bizview, you must select the Save data button.
