Template Categories

A Template category is a way of categorizing templates into logical groups. This is especially useful if there are many templates in the user selection interface.

Access Template Categories by selecting System Administration > Templates > Template categories.

To create a new Template Category, click the Create a new category link or the New button in the bottom.

Below is a list of Template Category fields:

Category ID*

The unique ID for the Template Group.

DRILL

Keep short, no spaces, no strange characters, numbers or capital letters.

Description*

The name that will be visible in dialogs and as logged on user.



Sort order

Sort order in end user interface.


Use Sort Order to affect the order in which the different categories will be shown.

Additional Information

To assign which templates should belong to the category, you need to do this from the Templates definition. Here, you have an optional selection for category.
