Comments
The Comments menu contains a list of all the comments the logged in user has added, edited, or updated in Bizview. The list shows ID, name of the person that created the comment, and the date the comment was created. You can also see in which report/form the comment was added.
Access Comments by selecting the icon from the menu:
You can only view and/or edit the comments you have access to through the comment categories. In some cases, you might only have read access (you cannot edit these comments), in other comments you might have both read and write access.
The Search field can be used to search for a specific comment. The search will perform a "contains" search of the word/letters in the comment text. You can also perform a search by entering a name or comment ID.
Press Enter or the search icon to execute the search. To exit a search, press Enter after deleting the text to undo the search.
To the left of the create date, you may find some icons:
A paper clip icon indicates that there is a file(s) attached to the comment.
A chat icon indicates that the comment has one or more answers.
To view files and/or answers, open the comment and go to the right panel.
When you open the comment, ID and name of the creator will be displayed in the title.
The comment has a ribbon with different formatting alternatives. It is also possible to undo/redo changes and print the comment.
Below the comment text you can find information about who created/updated the comment, the dates the comment was created/updated, and the comment ID. You can also see which category and block the comment is connected to. To learn more about comment categories and blocks, see Add Comment Blocks in Templates.
If you made any changes to the comment, don't forget to select Save.
If you want to delete a comment, select Delete.
Click Cancel to close the comment (no changes will be saved).
