Comments
If any of the dimension values in the report (any break value or other dimension value) are connected to a general management comment, these comments will be visible in the comments panel to the right. Note, it is not the actual report that is connected to the comments shown in this panel, it is the dimension values that exists in the report that are connected to the comments visible in the panel. This means that the same comment can be visible in several different reports and/or forms.
You, as a user, can only view and/or edit the comments you have access to through the comment categories. In some cases, you might only have read access (you cannot edit these comments), other comments you might have both read and write access to.
If a pen icon exist to the right in each comment box, then you have write access to the comment. By clicking the pen, you can open the comment in a new edit comment dialog, where you can edit the comment, add answers, attach documents, and so on.
If a clip icon is visible to the right in the comment box, there are attached documents. View the chat thread by opening the comment and clicking on the pen.
If a chat icon is visible to the right in the comment box, there are comment answers. View the chat thread by opening the comment and clicking on the pen.
Add a new general comment by clicking the + icon in the top-right corner (same as using the General comment button in the ribbon).
Caution: On mobile/tablets it is only possible to view existing comments, you cannot add or edit a comment.
In the Comments module in the Main menu you can view all your general comments that you have added or edited.
