Homepage Dashboard

You now have the ability to design a Homepage Dashboard that displays upon login, or when navigating to the Home button. A homepage can be set on an application, client, and/or user level.

When installing or upgrading and NO value exists in Setting ID 149 (Value 1), then a default Homepage Dashboard will be configured and visible in the Home tab. This dashboard can then be modified (by a user in the BV30 role) or exchanged with any other dashboard as homepage. If upgrading and a Homepage Dashboard is already configured in Setting ID 149 (Value 1), then the installation package will not exchange the existing one.

Below is an example of the default homepage:

The dashboard that is published as "homepage" displays for all users that log into Bizview. No other authorization check is added when showing the Homepage Dashboard. This means, when designing a Homepage Dashboard and adding it to Setting ID 149, the designer does not have to add access rights to the dashboard, Bizview does this automatically.

In Value 1, either on application/client/user level, define the dashboard ID that should be shown as homepage. The dashboard that is set as homepage will not be visible in the Dashboard module, only in the Home tab.

In the example below, the Homepage is added on the application level. To change the homepage for a client, go to Client Settings.

Access the following path: System Administration > System options > GLOBAL SETTINGS > Application Settings tab Other (in Silverlight Client).
