Configuring Bizview Client for SIE Import
This topic outlines the steps for configuring Bizview Client for SIE Import.
This topic contains the following sections:
Review SIE File
Start by examining the SIE file to be loaded.
Open the SIE file in a plain text program, such as Notepad.
At the beginning of the file, there are a number of tags that indicate the company's corporate number and what dimensions the file contains (in addition to Account).
Specify Client Settings for SIE
Enter the base settings for SIE file import for the client.
Access this setting by following the path: Client > Client Options > TOOLS/SETTINGS > Client Settings > System tab.
Below is a list of SIE Files fields:
Field |
Description |
---|---|
Organization Tag |
Organization number tag in the SIE file. Usually #ORGNR. |
Organization number |
Organization number (this number matches against the organization number in the file). This is done to avoid loading the SIE file into the wrong client. |
File extensions |
Possible file name extension for SIE files to be loaded. |
Tag 1 |
Enter the tags (transaction types) that should be possible to load. Usually #TRANS and #IB. If there are budget values in the file, add #PBUDGET as well. |
Tag 2 |
Not used (leave this field blank). |
Enter Dimensions to Load
Specify which dimensions you want to read-in by following this. The SIE import will then automatically create the objects in Bizview.
Access this setting by following this path: Client > Client Options > TOOLS/SETTINGS > Client Settings > Other tab.
Note: You do not need to upload the objects in Bizview beforehand. Just specify the dimensions you want to load into Bizview.
In the example above, objects ACCOUNT (), AVD (#DIM1 in the file) and OBJEKT (#DIM2 in the file) will be imported.
Activate Datastore for the SIE Client
If you want, you can enable data store for the SIE client. All you need to do for this is enter the database name for the "client data store".
Access this setting by following this path: System Administration > Data Services > CONFIGURATION > Datastore.
Enter the database for the datastore where the client is to be saved.
Select Save.
Every time you import a SIE file, Bizview datastore for the client will be automatically updated.
