Backup and Archive

Archiving data is a new, form specific, feature in Bizview. Instead of deleting old data, you can archive it if you eventually want to restore the data in the future. Archived data is stored in separate tables, and is never more used by Bizview.

The archive feature can also be used to backup specific data. When archiving, you will have the choice to delete the archived data from dat.data_cells. If you don't delete the data, you will have a backup copy of the data.

Access this feature by selecting System Administration > System options >  BACKUP > Archive data.

  1. Use the drop-downs to filter the data you want to archive. Bizview displays how many data rows will be archived, demonstrated below:

Backup_Archive

  1. Select Next.

  1. Decide if archived data should be deleted from dat.data_cells by selecting the check box. If the check box is left unchecked, you will have a backup copy of the data.

  2. Click Finish.
