Workflow Designer

Workflows makes it possible to coordinate and get control over structured business processes such as sales forecasting or the budget process and similar. A workflow is a list of workflow steps that should normally be performed by different users within the organization and approved by others. These workflow steps can be grouped into a hierarchy with many levels of steps.

Access the Workflow Designer by selecting Client administration > Workflows > Workflow Designer.

The objective of Bizview workflows are not to handle operational processes such as issue management or support tickets and similar. Instead a workflows inside Bizview is designed to handle multi-step and multi-level work-and-approve workflows adding coordination, control, auditing and collaboration capabilities to Bizview.

A workflow can contain the following types of steps:

  • Objects: Object values. For example, departments.
  • Tasks: Simple tasks that someone should perform in the workflow.
  • Templates: Forms, or structured reports, that should be populated with data and approved (like budget forms).

For more information on how to configure workflows, see Bizview Functional Description > Workflow Design and Tutorial Part 8 - Workflow Designer.
