Objects

Objects and Object Values are a central part of Bizview. The whole idea of generating reports with data from the ERP system, and storing budgets to the application database, is based on the idea that you can define a set of dimensions on which each data value is tagged. These are, in most cases, given by the transactional system that the solution will integrate against.

An Object can be ACCOUNT, UNIT, DIVISION, CUSTOMER, PROJECT, EMPLOYEE, etc. Objects can be created directly in the Bizview application, or fetched from ERP systems. Objects are used in report and form templates, selection panes, dashboards, and workflows.

Create a new Object by selecting the + New item icon above the Search field in Client Data. Then, select Object from the list, shown below:

You can also create a new Object by selecting the + icon in the Object Settings right panel:

A Create New Object dialog appears where you enter ID and description. Then, click Create.

The Object will be created and you can add object information in the grid and change Settings in the right panel.
