Configuring base-href

After installing or upgrading to Bizview 8.0 or later you need to configure your base-href before being able to run the Bizview HTML client in your web browser. The base-href path describes to bizview where to find the files for HTML application. There are two ways to configure the base-href, the easier way is to use an application, however if that should not work for some reason the base-href can also be configured manually.

This topic contains the following sections:

Configure base-href Using an Application

To configure the base-href go to the path where you have Bizview installed, and open the folder BaseHrefReplace.

Then, locate an application named BaseHrefReplace and run the application.

Base-Href_configure

Caution: You must be administrator to be able to run the application. If you are not the administrator on the computer, then you need to right-click and select Run as administrator.

You will now be prompted to select a folder to scan for index.html files. We recommend that you select the folder "app". An example of this path could look like: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\bizview\app

After that, you will be prompted to choose what base-href you want to replace the existing with.  Its important that you name the base-href to the same name as your website. Please note that this is case sensitive. In most cases the base-href would just be "bizview".

When the script is finished it will display the number of successful base href replacements. This should be equal to the amount of languages that has been installed in the system (default three).

Manually Configure base-href

To configure the base-href manually, go to the path where you have Bizview installed, an example of this path is C:\inetpub\wwwroot\bizview.

Then, go to the folder app and in that folder you will find three different language folders (en/nb/sv).

Base-Href

In each of these folders, you will find an index.html file. The base-href search path in each of these folders need to be updated with the correct path to your Bizview application. Open the index.html files in Notepad (in each of the language folders) and change the base-href for each language.

Base-Href_foldres

An example would be to change this base href to <base href="/bizview/en/"  (if this is the index file under the en-folder and your Bizview application is installed under a folder named bizivew)

Remember to save the changes.
