Dashboards

When creating a new Dashboard, you need to give access to the Dashboard for Client(s) and Users/Roles. The Dashboard will not show up in the My Home Panel for end users until these permissions have been specified.

In this function, you can also specify which (if any) Selection Panes should be connected to the Dashboard.

Access these settings by selecting System Administration > Dashboards > Setup & Authorization > Dashboards.

This topic contains the following sections:

Define Access

To define Dashboard access, complete the following steps:

  1. Highlight the Dashboard you want to define access for.

  2. Select the Client tab and mark the Clients the Dashboard should be available to.

  3. Select the User tab and mark the Users the Dashboard should be available to.

  4. Select the Role tab and mark the Roles the Dashboard should be available to.

Connect Selection Pane

In this panel, you also have the ability to attach selection pane(s) to the dashboard to enable users to filter, thus affecting the rendering of the Dashboard according to their selections.

In a Dashboard, there is only room for a small selection panel; however, you have the option to add two: one Left Selection Pane, and one Right Selection Pane.

To attach a selection pane, complete the following:

  1. Highlight the Dashboard you want to define access for.

  2. Select the selection pane to be connected as the Left Selection Pane.

  3. Select the selection pane to be connected as the Right Selection Pane
