Data Params

If the report needs to receive variables in order to generate correctly, like a specific unit or period, then this criteria must be stated in the Data Params.

What to do:

  1. Add any Selection Criteria that the report needs in order to generate correctly.
  2. If the template report contains a Pane worksheet and the designer has defined the control tags needed in the report, then these control tags can easily be fetched to the Report dasharea using the 'Get Pane Tags' button.
  3. Or, leave blank.

Note: The "Get Pane Tags" button inserts all control tags defined in column A in the Pane worksheet in the template connected to the dasharea.

In this example, the control tags from the Pane worksheet in the template has been fetched using the 'Get Pane Tags' button. Thereafter, the values $MONTH and $UNIT have been added. Since these should be exchanged with values that are selected in the Selection Pane connected to the Dashboard, $+control tag should be stated as the value if these should be exchanged with values from a Selection Pane.

However, if a Report is added in a dasharea, then the Break function cannot be used. A report in a dasharea will never return more than one worksheet.
