Drill Down

Creating a Drill Down report is simple and based on the same principle as a regular report. The purpose of Drill Down reports is to show underlying transactions or other detailed information (drilling down).

Note: A Parent report refers to the original report, which the Drill Down is linked to.

Below is an example of a Parent report:

setup_drilldown2

Below is an example of a Drill Down report:

setup_drill10

The relationship between a Parent and a Drill Down report is the same as the relationship between a selection pane and parent report, meaning that all values given parameters or values from the parent report will automatically be sent into the drill down. Therefore, the designer must take those parameters into account and make sure to set correct parameters in the Drill Down PARAM to avoid future design errors.
