#SECTIONn

Several sections of reports and/or forms can be created within one template. Since one workbook in Bizview only can contain one template and sometimes the same template should show various types of reports, different #SECTIONs can be used.

When using #SECTION in column A in the template, the designer can create multiple row 1 parameter rows, and therefore, can create several different sections of reports/forms within the same template.

#SECTION in combination with:

  • Template type FORM - only ONE section with a FORM, in combination with one or several sections with REPORTS.

Important: From Bizview 5.1 there is a possibility to create several sections of FORMS within the same template.

  • Template type REPORT - possibility to have one or several sections with REPORTS.

Below a report with two different sections is shown. The first section, highlighted in blue, is a matrix report. The second section, highlighted in red, is a detail report. In this example, the #SECTION parameter is only stated in the second section. It is not mandatory to specify the #SECTION1 in the first section IF all parameters in PARAM apply to this section. However, if any parameter in PARAM should ONLY apply to the first section, then this section needs to be tagged with #SECTION1. The reason for this is that in PARAM these particular parameters will also be tagged with #SECTION1.
