System
This topic describes how to manage the system of your Bizview application in Application Settings.
This topic contains the following sections:
License
Site or Client. Default license type is SITE, meaning that the license key stored in app.license_keys appliews to all Clients in Bizview. The total number of users are counted independent of client access. If Client is chosen, a specific license key needs to be obtain from NCG Support with specific Client ID included in the license key.
Autosave
Choose interval for the Autosave function. Applies to open input form documents (end-user usage).
User Password
Set the different password parameters to affect the complexity of user passwords that you would like to implement for all users.
Folder Bizview Server
Specify the root folder for Bizview bulk file temporary storage. Default is C:\bizview.
Last Batch ID
Displays the last batch id created when saving values from input form values. This can be edited to get a new start, easy to track. For example, you can set this setting to 1000 and then run your input data entry. Then it will be easier to find your new transactions from 1000 and forward.
Data Services
To run the Bizview web application against data sources residing on other servers, not accessible through the LAN, the Bizview application web server needs to have the service Bizview Data Services installed. The service uses internet to access the data source. Contact NCG Support for detailed whitepaper on how to setup this service.
Autosave for Reports
When running reports, the result reports are automatically saved to the Archive folder, per default. Check to disable Autosave for reports.
Active Directory
To enable Single-Sign-On (SSO) two things need to be in place:
- The LDAP server address needs to be filled in here. You can enter several LDAP servers here. E.g. LDAP://172.18.0.22
- The [Users] that are supposed to use SSO need to be configured with the User setting Domain name. Enter the Windows NT login name (NCG\domainuser). Needs to be exactly the same as the user Windows NT login name.
There is also an optional Active Directory Synchronization service. For more information about Active Directory configuration, see AD Sync Service.
