VALIDATION_MESSAGE

Optional = optional for each custom button

A custom button can be defined to first show a confirmation dialog before the actual custom button function is executed.

To include a confirmation message when a user selects the custom button from the ribbon, add a message in the Confirmation Message field in the Add New or Edit Custom Button dialog, shown below:

When the right panel is collapsed, the information added in the above dialog will be automatically written to the SCRIPTS worksheet, and the VALIDATION_MESSAGE  property for the specific button will be updated, like below:

When you save and preview or publish the report/form, the custom button will be visible in the ribbon. Upon selecting the custom button, the dialog appears, prompting the user to confirm the action, as demonstrated below:

The Confirmation Message specified in template design displays as text in the dialog. If the user selects Yes, then the function linked to the button will be executed. If the user selects No, no action will be executed.
