Task Step Settings

While in the Design mode, select the Task Step to view the Step Settings in the right panel:

Note: Edit multiple step settings at once by pressing CTRL on your keyboard and then selecting the individual steps. Or, press the SHIFT key to select every step in between the first and last step selected.

The following settings are available in Tasks:

Description

Change object for the selected step(s).

Status Tracking

Choose if you want track the status of the step. If so, both Doer and Responsible need to be defined in order for the tracking to be available in the workflow process.

Due Date

Select a due date. This date is then saved to the database and can be displayed for each step ($DUE_DATE).

Step Instruction

Select a step instruction. The instruction is then saved to the step and displays in the workflow.

Inherit Doer from Parent

Select whether you want the step to inherit the Doer from the parent step (INHERIT/OVERRIDE). If you select OVERRIDE, the Doer drop-down below is available to manually select a Doer.

Important: This field is only available on child steps that already have a Doer applied to the parent step.

DoerSelect the user who will perform something in a step.
Inherit Responsible from Parent

Select whether you want the step to inherit the Responsible from the parent step (INHERIT/OVERRIDE). If you select OVERRIDE, the Responsible drop-down below is available to manually select a Doer.

Important: This field is only available on child steps that already have a Responsible applied to the parent step.

ResponsibleSelect the user who will approve the step.
Step FormatManage how step values should display.

If you make changes, don't forget to select Save!
