Required Browser Settings

We recommend the following settings to get the most of the Bizview application.

This topic contains the following sections:

Add Site to Trusted Sites

Internet Explorer

 The address (site) for the Bizview application needs to be added to the trusted sites in your browser. Follow these steps:

  1.  Click ALT and open the Tools menu.
  2. Go to Tools > Internet OptionsSecurity.
  3. Mark the Trusted sites, and click Sites.

  4. Then, click Add.

Note: Make sure "Required server verification" is unchecked!

Google Chrome

 The address (site) for the Bizview application needs to be added to the trusted sites in your browser. Follow these steps:

  1. Select Settings.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click the Show Advanced Settings link.
  3. Go to the Network section and click Change proxy settings.
  4. Select the Security tab > Trusted Sites icon.
  5. Select Sites.
  6. Enter the Bizview URL, and select Add.
  7. Select Close and then OK.

Edit Download Settings

You also need to make a change to the Download options in the Security settings.

While in the Security tab, select Custom level:

Make sure File download is enabled, shown below:

Edit Browser Pop-up Settings

The Bizview application always opens in a new pop-up window when the user logs on. They can be opened as tabs or new windows. The advantage of opening Bizview application in a new window is that it is maximized.

To allow pop-ups from a site, follow the steps below:

  1. To change this setting, you go to Tools > Internet Options.
  2. Select Tabs:

  1. Make your desired selection in the highlighted area:

  1. Restart the browser.

Google Chrome

To allow pop-ups from a site, follow the steps below:

  1. Select the Customize and control Google Chrome button in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Settings:

  1. Go to Privacy and click Content Settings.
  2. In the Pop-ups section, click Manage exceptions:

  1. Add the Bizview URL (and make sure to choose Allow in the drop-down list)

Mozilla Firefox

To allow pop-ups from a site, follow the steps below:

  1. From the Tools menu, go to Settings.
  2. Under Content, you can choose to Add Exceptions:
  3. Block pop-up windows > Exceptions.
  4. Add the Bizview URL.

Caching in Internet Explorer

  1. Access this setting by selecting Internet Options > General.
  2. Open Settings.
    1. Make sure "Delete browsing history on exit" is not checked.

Disable Compatibility Mode in Internet Explorer

Disable Compatibility Mode to be able to open HTML5 Dashboards inside Bizview.

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Click ALT and open the Tools menu.
  3. Go to CompatibilitySettings.
  4.   Uncheck display intranet sites in Compatibility View:
