Application Other

The "Other" category includes System Logs, Locked Records, and Comment Formatting.

System Logs

The System Logs function lets Administrators view and analyze what different users are doing.

  1. Begin by selecting the Settings icon from the menu:

  1. Then, scroll to the bottom of the list to the Other section and select the System Logs subsection:

  1. The subsection expands to expose the level of settings. Choose Application:

The System Logs - Application display, as shown below:

The following information is available within the logs:

A unique ID for each captured event.

The date and time when the event was captured.

Type

The type of event.

LOGIN

  • LOGIN: login attempt.

  • DASH: execution of a dashboard.

  • TEMPLATE: execution of a report or form.

Client

Which client the action occurred for.

User

The Bizview user ID executing the event.

The template or dashboard that is executed.

Message

The type of action or response executed.

Time

The time it took for the server to execute the command.

Does not include time to transfer the data to the client or the rendering on the client side.

Description

Any additional information captured. For example, which selection the user made in the selection pane when executing a report.

Locked Records

The Locked Record page allows System Administrators to access an overview of all templates that are locked for input by users.

  1. Access this feature by selecting the Settings icon from the menu:

  1. In the Other section, select Locked Records:

  1. The subsection expands to expose the level of settings. Choose Application:

The Locked Records - Application display, as shown below:

Administrators can also unlock forms from this page by selecting the unlock icon.

Once unlocked, hovering over the unlock icon exposes a tooltip that displays the unlock time details, as shown below:

Locked Template

The Template ID of the template that was locked.

 

Pane Values

The selection pane values for the template, when applicable.

Comment Formatting - General Comments

The Comment Formatting function allows you to define a default font style for General comments in the template.

  1. Access this feature by selecting the Settings icon from the menu:

  1. In the Other section, select Comment Formatting:

  1. The subsection expands to expose the level of settings. Choose Application:

The Comment Formatting settings display, as shown below:

Here, you can change the font, size, color, and style for comments. As you customize the format, the Sample Text section to the right allows you to preview these changes, as demonstrated below:

To undo the last setting, select the undo icon:

Or, redo a recent setting change by selecting the redo icon:

Save your changes by selecting the check mark, or Save from the bottom-left corner:

Note: If a setting is defined for both Client and Application level, the Client-level settings take precedence.
