Any defined data attribute can be stated in row 1 so that the end-user can enter any additional information in the data row. Must be connected to an ATTGROUP.

Data attributes can be added in Bizview and used in templates to add additional information to the data records. For example, a text column or a column in which the item price can be added. Values entered in a data attribute column will be saved for each CVAL value (in that row, within the same ATTGROUP) when updated in the database.

Mandatory parameters for <DATA ATTRIBUTES>:

Each data attribute, which is defined in row 1, must be connected to an ATTGROUP to specify which CVAL columns the attribute value should be saved to. Only defined data attributes in Bizview can be stated in row 1.

This topic contains the following sections:

Template Worksheet - Input

PRICE and NOTE are two data attributes defined in row 1. The data attributes need to be defined in Bizview in order to be used in the template. PRICE is connected to ATTGROUP 1, and 1 is defined for all CVAL columns, meaning that a stated price will be saved for all CVAL cells containing a value. On the other hand, the attribute NOTE will only be saved in the database for CVAL columns AA-AE, since that data attribute is connected to ATTGROUP 2.

DATAATTRIBUTE

Template Worksheet - Report

In a report, the data attribute column can be shown for informative purposes. For example, to view saved comments from an input form. It is not possible to save data attribute values from a report. The only way to save comments in a report is to use the general management comment function. However, when using general comments, these cannot automatically be added as comment blocks into each expanded row.

When adding a data attribute column in a report, it is important to remember that Bizview automatically tries to use the sum aggregation function when retrieving data. However, it is no possible to use the "sum" for text columns. To handle this, the parameters FUNCTION and CONDITION need to be added in column A and in the data attribute column, add FUNCTION - MAX and CONDITION - <NOHAVING>. By adding these two parameter values, Bizview can retrieve the data attribute text and display it in the report.
