Import Templates

The Import Templates function enables you to import a template from another solution. This function is useful if you want to reuse a previously defined template. Compared to a simple Excel export, some advantages of this function are:

  • The compressed Export file contains all related files and information, such as Templates, Template scripts, Data scripts, Images, Categories, and Panes.
  • You can choose to Import more than one template at the same time.

Access Import Templates by selecting System Administration > Templates > Utilities > Import templates.

Browse to the 'TemplateExport.gz' file (the name can be anything set in the Export procedure).

Click Load data. The files from the .gz file will be imported and a detailed summary of all imported components display.

If the files are identical, no import will be performed.
