AUTO_UPDATE

An AUTO_UPDATE tag can be used in a selection pane connected to a form to trigger an automatic update of the form when opening it. If the pane connected to a form includes a tag called AUTO_UPDATE with value 1, then all worksheets in the form will automatically be updated when it is generated.

The control tag in the selection pane can be hidden or visible.

Example

  • Add a checkbox control in the selection pane (or text box).
  • Name the control with control tag AUTO_UPDATE.
  • Decide if the control should be hidden or not. If hidden, then the control needs to be marked by default in order to send in the value 1.
  • Connect the selection pane to the template that should be automatically updated.

If the control is checked, then AUTO_UPDATE = 1 will be sent into the PANE worksheet in the template and when opening the form it will automatically be updated.

If the control is not checked, then AUTO_UPDATE= 0 will be sent into the PANE worksheet and when opening the form it will NOT be automatically updated.
