A default group-by will be done for all columns with * in SOURCE. To override, this parameter must be defined in PARAM as FALSE.

GROUPBY is an optional report specific parameter. This parameter should only be used to override the default group by. By default, all columns with * as SOURCE will be added to the group by clause in the SQL queries. However, in some reports no group by should be added to the queries and then this parameter must be defined as FALSE. You could also design a template with no * columns and then no group by will be applied and you do not need to use this parameter.

When using this parameter, it can also be necessary to add the ORDERBY parameter in Column A to define how the rows should be sorted when inserted in the template.

For more information about Transaction reports, read this article.

Access GROUPBY in the Template Design right panel by selecting Parameters > Data Retrieve > Group By.

If you don't want a group by to be applied to the query when retrieving data to the report, set this parameter to FALSE. By default, Bizview always group on the * columns in a template.
