Insert Steps - Task

A task is anything from a practical to theoretical activity. If you want, it can be status tracked, but it's not always necessary. The task can have a Doer and or Responsible assigned to it, as well.

  1. Insert a Task step in Dashboard Design by accessing the Manage Steps tab and selecting Task:

The Add Task Steps dialog displays, as shown below:

Important: Inherit from Doer and Inherit from Responsible are only available when adding an Task Step to a child step that already has a Doer and Responsible assigned to the parent step.

  1. Choose the task placement in the Workflow Tree.

  2. To add the task to multiple steps, choose the desired steps from the Also Apply To drop-down.

  3. To inherit the Doer from the parent step, select INHERIT. Or, select OVERRIDE to manually select a Doer after the Task Step is created.

  4. To inherit the Responsible from the parent step, select INHERIT. Or, select OVERRIDE to manually select a Responsible after the Task Step is created.

  5. Then, enter the task title in the Task Text field.

  6. Finally, select Add.

For information about Task Step settings, see Task Step Settings.
