This topic describes the significant enhancements in Bizview v24.4.
Caution: Starting with Bizview v24.1, feature enhancements are no longer available to on-premise users.
Template Formatting Enhancements
This release introduces enhancements to template formatting within the Template Design. Template designers can easily configure formats value of cells in the template from the new data bindings right panel and apply different styles on the cells utilizing either custom or predefined cell styles.
New Data Bindings - Column Settings
The Column Settings are enhanced to provide a clear and more structured editing experience for users. When users edits a column, "General" and "Formatting" tabs will appear under settings in the New data bindings tab.
Important: The Template Design features listed below only apply to Reports and/or Forms that have the parameter NEW_DATA_BIND set to 'ENABLED'. For more information, see NEW_DATA_BINDING.

The General tab displays all existing column settings: Source, Table, Coltype, Storable, Entry/no Entry, Spreadgroup, Highlight, Add Filter and Viewtag.
The Formatting tab displays the Value Display Format option, which helps to define the format type of a cell in the template.

This dropdown is added to the Formatting tab in the New data binding tab in the right panel.
The Value Display Format dropdown has the following formatting options such as General, Number, Currency, Short Date, Long Date, Time, Percentage, Scientific, Text, and Custom.

Cell Styles
The users have the ability to define cell styles, which enable customized formatting for cells within templates. These cell styles can be established at the client level, allowing greater flexibility. Once defined, these styles can be easily applied during the template design process, enhancing the overall presentation and usability of the templates. Additionally, it includes a selection of predefined cell styles for immediate use.
Access the Cell Styles by selecting System > Designer Tools > Cell Styles:
The page displays all the predefined and custom cell styles in the grid.
Using the Cell Styles master you can Add a New Cell Styles, Refresh, Close, FilterEdit, and Delete the existing cell styles.
For more information, see Cell Styles.
Cell Styles drop down in Template design
The Cell Styles dropdown is available in the Edit tab of template design. This allows the template designers to select the cell styles while designing the templates. The "Select Cell Styles" dropdown is placed after the Replace option in the Edit tab.
Note: This feature is applicable to both Forms and reports type templates.
For more information, see Edit ribbon in Template Design.
You can select multiple cells and apply the Cell Styles formatting using this option.
Styling applied in the template design will remain as is even if the cell style is deleted. But the cell style will be no longer visible in the dropdown.
If the cell style is altered after being applied in the template design, and you wish to update the format to match the latest version of that cell style, you will need to re-apply the Cell Style in the template design to observe the changes.
Reload after Save parameter
This release introduces the new parameter that improves the user experience by combining the save and refresh actions into a single step within the forms. Currently, the users must click two separate buttons, "Save Values" and "Refresh," to save changes and view the updated values in the form.
Using RELOAD_AFTER_SAVE parameter, the form will automatically reload after saving values, eliminating the need for a manual refresh.
Note: This feature is specific only to forms.
Access this feature in the Template Design right panel by selecting Parameters > Ribbon Buttons > Reload after Save.
By default, Reload after Save parameter is set to FALSE.
For more information, see Reload after Save.
