Predefined Tags

Predefined tags makes the designer able to decide which dimension values that should automatically be linked to a general comment.

In the Template Design right panel, select the Comment Tags tab. Here, you can view existing predefined comment tags. In this interface you can also:

  • Add new predefined tags
  • Edit a predefined tag
  • Delete a predefined tag

To create a tag, go to the Comments tab and click the + icon to the right in the header. The designer can decide which tags should automatically be attached to each comment in the report/form. It is also possible to lock the tag, then the user will not be able to deselect the tag values when they add a comment in the report/form.

The tag should correspond to the object or dimension that you want to tag, like CLIENT, ACCOUNT, VERSION, CURR, VALT, and so on. You can open the report/form where comments should be added and add a test comment and go to the linked values where you can view all tag values that are available to tag in the report/form.

The value can be a $-value. For example, $CLIENT (will be replaced with logged in client) or $USER (logged in user). Or, it can be a specific value or a formula evaluating which value to return. For example, =CF_GETPANEVALUE("xxxx") to retrieve a selected value from the selection pane.

You can add as many predefined tags as you want in the template.

CommentsPredefinedTag

When the designer has added a predefined tag in the template, each new comment in the open report/form will be automatically tagged to those values. If the designer has defined it as a locked tag, users can not deselect the tag value when a comment is added. If locked, the tag is dark grey. If not locked, the tag light grey. Both a locked and unlocked tag are shown below:
